About Us
Our infusion centre provides a calm and peaceful setting for patients to receive intravenous treatment for medical conditions that do not require admission to hospital. Our experienced doctor lead team ensures a safe environment for intravenous therapy.
Out of Hospital Infusions
Our out-of-hospital infusions are strictly done on a referral from your treating medical
practitioner. There is often no need to be admitted to hospital to receive treatment for a
condition, which can effectively be managed out of hospital and away from the risk to acquiring
hospital infections.
All infusions are administered using an infusion pump, limiting the risk of infusion related side effects. The infusion room is staffed with a qualified medical doctor with the required emergency equipment. (AED, Emergency trolley, Advanced Airway Equipment and Oxygen)

We require the following information to assist with out-of-hospital infusions:
- The referring doctor needs to complete the patient referral form and email this together with a prescription for the medication to be infused.
- For Monofer/Cosmofer drips, the iron infusion form also needs to be completed.
- Send the completed documents to us via email on info@blouberginfusions.co.za:
- Patient Referral Form (every patient)
- Prescription
- Latest blood results (if available)
- Iron infusion form (for medical scheme motivation)
- Scriptwise (order medication form if no medical scheme approval)
- We will contact you to set up an appointment.
For Medical scheme members: We
motivate on your
behalf and liaise directly with your medical schemes regarding funding for infusions. The
Infusion Centre will advise you as to what your scheme will cover – most medical schemes
will cover the infusions in full.
Private/Non-medical scheme Patients:
Our
doctor will discuss all treatment options available and provide you with a detailed
quotation for your intravenous infusion before the treatment.

Iron Infusion Form
Download this form when motivation is required from a medical scheme for a
Monofer/Cosmofer infusion. With this form, please attach the prescription for the drug
as well as the latest relevant blood results. Please have the patient sign consent on
this form.

All referring practitioners must download and complete this form and attach the
prescription
and relevant supporting special investigations (if applicable), for motivation to
medical
schemes.

Scriptwise Order Form
Download this form when the patient will be paying for the medication privately. Email
the
completed Scriptwise form with the referring practitioner’s script to us, so that the
specified medication can be delivered to the infusion centre, before the appointment date.
